:luck: This is for Creighton Students - web-based,

How easy is it to find a proctor for the tests? Also, I understand that there are some times during the first 3 years that you shadow a pharmacist in various settings, is that something that you set up and get the person approved by the school or do they have some contacts?

If the student is responsible for setting it up, do you just call around or does the school offer some suggestions? I am in Scottsdale, AZ (Phoenix area) so I realize that the area is packed with opportunities, but I am concerned with how to find the best one.

Basically, the only downside to Creighton is the logistics - well, and it's pretty expensive, too.

Thanks!

Haha. It really wasn't THAT hard. 😳 I just typed in "Creighton web" for my search, and voila!

Thanks, I, too, did a search of "creighton" on the site, and found that thread. I was just looking for particulars, like how to find the proctors and sites.

I'm curious about this, too. Is this something that should be posted on the PharmD Students forum instead of the Pre-Pharm forum?

They have some contacts, if they have had a student in that area before, but for the most part, the student is responsible for finding a proctor and finding their rotation sites. Then you have to get that person/site approved by Creighton.

Look for a proctor at a local library, college, or even your workplace. I'm not sure what the requirements are, I think Creighton will send you a list of requirements if you ask for it. I do know it can't be someone like your husband or your sister!!

As for the rotations, the student is responsible but Creighton will let you know if there are places that students have previously done them at. I don't think it will be too difficult to find places to do your rotations, just call or write letters to local hospitals or other pharmacy settings and talk to the managers there.
