Has anyone been accepted or know of anyone that has been accepted to the campus based program?

They say that there deadline is March 1, but it also says on PharmCAS that they mailout acceptance letters starting January.

I just got my acceptance letter from Creighton (web-based). I think they have rolling admissions, which means the sooner you get your application in, the sooner they will tell you their decision. Good Luck 🙂

I had a phone interview on Jan 21 and received my acceptance letter on Jan 28

Do you have concerns/reservations about completing the pharmD mostly through on-line coursework? I think it would be really tough for me.

I applied to Creighton, and aside from my second-semester transcripts, had everything submitted in December. They sent me an e-mail today saying "your application is complete..." Um...yeah...so I thought they must be really behind, but seeing as how quickly your process went, perhaps you were a much more attractive candidate than I. 😀

my GPA was 3.3 and my PCAT was above 90. I have my bachelor's in biochemistry, so I think that helped when I took the PCAT!

I am really excited about the online program, I applied to pharmacy school a few years ago after I graduated but I ended up getting a job instead so now I am really excited to be able to go without having to relocate 🙂🙂
I just have to worry about how to pay for it and how to juggle work/school/family!

Well, I have taken a few of my prereq's online and online learning works well for me. I think as long as you don't mind learning on your own and make sure and ask for help when you need it that you will do fine. It just takes a little bit of self discipline to make sure you do all the work on time.
As for the application, I was really suprised at how quick it went once they had all of my application, so I'm sure yours will go quick as well. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Thanks! Yes, I have accepted the offer. For me, the online program was really the only was I could manage to go to pharmacy school, there are none near where I live. I'm really excited about it!!

well, my gpa and pcat are slightly higher but i don't have an undergrad degree so maybe were probably at about the same on the "canadate attractiveness" scale...but you don't have to worry about that anymore - YOUR IN!! 👍

Anyway, I got an invite to interview from creighton today - I think I'll do the phone interview since i don't feel like driving a 12hr. round trip...can anyone give me pointers for the phone interview??

First of all, they say that you won't have time to ask any questions to the interviewer but have some prepared cause they asked me anyway!!

Also, I got questions like, "what is a difficult decision that you have had to make without all the information and what was the outcome?" and "describe a sacrifice you have made in your life". I was expecting ones like, why do you think you would be a good pharmacist, where do you think the profession is headed, etc. but they threw me some curveballs, so be prepared!!! Overall, the phone interview was good, it lasted about 20 minutes. Good Luck !!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Sorry, I didn't see your question. Yes, I have applied to the web-based pathway. Just got my "application complete" email on Friday. Not holding my breath as my gpa isn't very good. I'm hoping my other stuff will make up for it. But we shall see.

Congrats again. Post your experiences over the years on this board, as there are many that have shown an interest in the web based program.
