Anyone know if they are going to send any more interviews out before Dec. 1?

Any help would be appreciated, ive been under review now for quite some time...

I thought they only accepted without an interview if you are from creighton undergrad? Do they still give acceptance letters out to out of state residents without an inteview?

i'm pretty sure 2quik is right...i dont remember exactly but when i had my interview a couple months ago i do remember something about only getting accepted w/o an interview if u go to creighton undergrad

I second what you've said. I called the Creighton Dental School admissions office yesterday morning, and the lady told me to wait until Dec 1st.

She said that it's possible to receive an acceptance packet in the mail (I hope so!) in December without an interview.

However, my GPA is not that super great, and my DAT scores are decent.

Oh well, I'll wait and see and call them on Dec 1st.

thats my plan, im calling tomorrow morning- i talked to her a few weeks ago because they had lost my transcripts, she's a very nice lady. i was going to call tonight but i was in class until 4, and with the time change, thats 5 for her, so she was gone.

Does anyone know if you have to have amazing stats to get in without an interview? I konw that last year the average DAT was 18.4 and PAT was 17.7 or close to that. Also the average gpa was a 3.5 with a science of 3.38

My dat scores were average and above what they have and I have a science gpa of 3.73 and cumgpa of 3.83.

Hopefully my stats are good enough because i havent gotten an invite to an interview yet!

Does anyone know anyone that has gotten in without an interview?

Probably 2 months ago or so, Patti told me this also. All but Creighton undergrads must have an interview to be accepted.

No ways guy. I spoke to Diane Travis yesterday morning and she said it IS possible to get an acceptance package without an interview.

When I asked her why my friend got an interview invite after he called them, she told me that there were interview openings in mid January.

Basically she was telling me that if you want to fly out to Omaha, NE, then you can do so and interview there next year.

So to me, it seems as if you could get admitted to Creighton w/ out an interview.

I have two friends that were accepted to Creighton last year w/o interviews. One of them is attending Creighton now. But then again, last year was different because they did not interview people. This year's policy on interviews seems a bit ambiguous.

I did not interview last year, because they were only optional. I know that there were probably lots of people waitlisted last year, but I figured I would have a lot better shot after retaking the DAT.

I was also waitlisted last year, and had an informal interview. I have not gotten an invitation to interview this year, but was told you can begin scheduling an informal interview on January 1st. I know someone who was waitlisted one year and got in the next without an interview, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Im curious about this too!! i heard from one source that they do the mail out on dec.1st (fri) so you'll probably get a letter saturday or monday pending how close you are. if i am wrong, feel free to correct me.

All I got from Creighton was an envelope filled with brochures and a booklet on their dental program's courses. This was in early September. Geez. I thought that envelope was an acceptance packet!

But whenever I call their office, the lady tells me that my application is still under review. It's been like that for the last three months. Then she gives me this BS that it takes up to five months for the admissions committee to review an applicant's file. Oh well, all of us Creighton applicants will be waiting by our mailbox starting next week.

wow, i really dont get it, why are there so many variations in the stories here about whether or not an interview is required.....many say they spoke with admissions personel on the phone and they say diff. things than those that spoke with the guy who interviewed them...and then there is also variations on what the admission personel said to certain individuals.....wth????? Are these people just saying whatever they need to say to get u off the phone and keep u from calling back or what.........do they ask who u are so they know specifically who they are speaking with on the phone or are these the answers they give to anyone who calls, without even knowing who they are talking to.......one question that no one has reportedly asked over the phone is whether or not you need an interview if u interviewed last year and were placed on the alternate list? very confusing stuff.....😕

^^ See what I'm saying about Creighton? The staff members are so inconsistent and give a lot of us callers the run-arounds.
I'm not counting on this dental school to accept me, as it's in my middle choice list.

They updated my aadsas to "offer made" at about 8:30 am (pacific). Keep your heads up...they want you!🙂
