hmmm...i'm not an undergrat there....so i have no chance?
 
I think to get accepted without an interview you had to be a creighton undergrad but i could be wrong
 
I called creighton this morning, and they emailed me back.

They said that all or I should say "the majority" of the acceptances/offers they sent to their applicants were sent out today.

They will invite more applicants for their interview "if needed." That means if no openings are available in the near future, we're "doomed (AKA rejected)."

Oh well, creighton wasn't my first choice dental school.

And for those of you who are curious about "acceptances w/out interviews" it's only for applicants who are undergrads at creighton.
 
hmmm, so it seems like u all that got acceptances today were out of state? Do they send emails to in staters to? I saw another Creighton thread and he was an in stater and said he just recieved an acceptance package in the mail a few days after dec 1st when he was accepted a previous year??????.........have there been any in state acceptances via email today yet??? surely there have, im just trying to be optomistic, what else can i really do??😕

I am not RDEP, and I received my acceptance letter on December 3rd back in 2003. The envelope my letter came in was postmarked December 1st. I hope this helps. Good luck to all who applied.


P.S. For what it is worth, I did not go to Creighton undergrad nor do I have any ties to Creighton alumni.

I got waitlisted last year through a letter.

I didn't get anything either...according to another post most or all of the acceptances for this round were handed out on dec 1st. I'm not sure if that's true or not..i'm hoping not
 
Has Anyone From Nebraska Recieved An Acceptance From Creighton Yet?
 
I don't have residency in Nebraska, but I am currently attending Creighton undergrad, and I got an acceptance e-mail on Friday.
 
is this the first year that Creighton started sending email acceptances on dec. 1st?
 
I live in Omaha, attended CU undergrad and was accepted via email on 12/1 with no interview.
 
Could anybody give me a little more insight into the Pros/Cons of Creighton. Is it a superior dental school?

I just called creighton's admissions and I asked her the status of my application.

They told me that my app is complete, which i knew was, and that it is still under review. My app has been in review for a couple of months now and they sent me their catologue and everything else. They told me their next set of acceptances will be Jan. 15 and they ARE STILL GIVING OUT INTERVIEWS.

So i dont know where I stand but hopefully they will give me an interview!

you guys, I emailed yesterday and they said if you want an interview they are open on these days + all the fridays on Feb. so if you want an interview, you need to call them and set it up. it's not mandatory..🙄
 
They dont send out interviews??? You have to call and set an interview up???
 
Ok I interviewd there back in september and havent heard anything from them...does that mean i should call and see whtas up? AADSAS says i'm still under review

I was told you can call and schedule an interview starting in January, which I did for last year's cycle.

i just started reading this thread. i called creighton a few days ago and they told me they were still "reviewing" my application. i have not received notification of an interview. the lady told me to call back in january if i did not get one to set one up. but it sounds like you guys did call and were able to set one up without notification?
 
I called creighton today and the lady there said that interview is not
manditory for EVERYONE not just creighton undergrad.

Just called down to Creighton and set-up an interview myself for January 29. I had my secondary in to creighton in september and didn't hear one word from them. but you can call and set up your own interview there if you'd like.
 
whats the point of setting up an interview when you can get in w/o one?
 
so you just call and set an interview up even though they didn't invite you??? That's a little strange...How would going without being invited be an advantage for you?

I personally thought they would consider me really liking to go there! that's why I set one up. I mean what is the difference between me and 10000 applicants who are just applying and waiting to be accepted w/o an interview. that's just my personal opinon!

It sounds like Creighton's admissions office changes their mind everytime the phone rings. I tried to set up an interview in the Fall and was told that interviews were by invitation only and that an interview was not necessary for acceptance.

Creighton is well known for their crazy interview/acceptance policy. I hope some of you got accepted, and for those who haven't.....hang in there.
 
Anyone know when they are going to review people that are on the waitlist? I never actually was "officially" waitlisted...but I did call and she said that in dec. if you heard anything it was for 1 of 3 reasons...accepted, rejected, or you need to re-take the DAT..so i'm sure its safe to assume its waitlist...anyway, again, anyone know when they re-review the waitlisters?
 
I spoke with a current Creighton D3, and here's the deal on the interviews (could be wrong, but he sounded pretty knowledgeable about the process...and is a primary resource, so take it as you may...):

Interviews are requested by the adcom prior to the big day (Dec. 1st) for their most competative applicants. The rest of the apps can request interviews in January and beyond, until they fill their seats. Why request an interview (if one isn't necessarily needed for acceptance). Well, 1) it definately is taken into consideration (which can be good or bad depending on how you interview), 2) it shows initiative, and interest in their school, 3) it's a learning experience regardless of what happens (just in case you have to reapply next year).

Well anyway, that's how it was put to me, and it all makes sense, so I decided to "invite myself" to Creighton...even though Asdoh is my top choice, Creighton is up there! Hopefully all goes well, G'Luck! :luck:

When is your interview at Creighton? I have my "invited myself" interview on January 29.
 
I know its short notice, but I just called them and cancelled my interview for this friday jan 26. So there should be an opening then for an interview so call quick if you could make that date. I am already accepted and cant really afford the trip out there...goodluck!
