I've just discovered that Ob-Gyn are eligible for surgical critical care fellowships. I had an attending at my program tell me while she trained she had a staff that did SCC AND Perinatology fellowships and therefore was scared of nothing (I can see why). Is there much call for critical care ob? Are sick moms just managed by the MFM normally? Just intrigued by the idea I guess. There's even a critical care obstetrics text. Someone must be dealing with these folks.
