Anyone know the average salary, number of hours per week, amount of stress, job satisfaction, job availabilty, etc. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm a fellowship trained BC critical care guy. Critical Care just doesn't pay. The reimbursements for critical care is very low compared to sitting in the OR and warming a stool....because of that, most CC anesthesiologists do only anesthesia unless you join a group that has dedicated time in the ICU where the guys in the OR subsidize your salary.

Visicue E-ICUs will pay you about $1,000 for an 8 hour shift...I think.
