Research is a little weak.

What's your sGPA? What's your MCAT score breakdown?

Applicants with your stats were successful less than 40% of the time in previous years at MD schools in the US, so you'd definitely be wise to apply DO like you're planning http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=838625

Research isn't a requirement, so I wouldn't classify it as a weakness, I mean it can only help you. I would say however to get more research experience in though. Only if you are interested.

You are definitely good for pretty much all DO schools and some 'state' level MD schools as you are. Definitely see if you can pull a 'theme' out of all of these shadowing and volunteer opportunities and you will be great. Research would definitely help for both MD/DO, if you have the chance between now and when you apply see if you can find something in which you are interested. It honestly does not have to be much - just show some interest in discovery. Best of luck! 😀
