Any of you wise podiatric physicians have an opinion regarding Crocs? It seems that many professionals feel they offer inadequate support, while others praise them. I've heard of some cases of podiatrists treating patients for conditions resulting from wearing them long-term.

I think there's a forum sticky, but you really aren't supposed to ask for medical advice on SDN.

Crocs Rx recently became a pretty big financial supporter of the APMA, so I'm not sure you'd get unbiased answers anyways...

chacos beat crocs hands down...besides they're butt ugly and open toed...if you're going open toed go chacos!, they have almost Rx footbeds (APMA seal), unlimited # of styles, cool looking and very functional!

(I don't work for chaco, I just love mine to death)

yes, our biomechanics professor praises Chocos as 'functional orthoses with a thong attached'
