what mean by positive n negative ledge?

both the original question and reply are worded odd.
positive and negative ledge just means either the crown margin is short (axially) of the crown prep margin or overhangs the crown prep margin. I forget which is which. Neither is good, but a overhanging crown margin can always be polished flush.
