Hello everyone. My CS results, according to the USMLE website, will be reported in October, however my exam will be done in August. Is there a place on the residency application for us to indicate that we have taken CS (since apps go out in September, which is before I will get my results), but the results are just not in yet? Thank you for your time.

So what should one do if they had to re-take the CS and won't get the result till Oct? Should we mention in the PS that they have taken it again? or wait till Oct to submit the ERAS app? Asking for a friend who is going crazy over having to take CS again and fearing that life is now over...any advice? He's an IMG with great Step 1 & CK scores, just the CS mishap.

Do not wait until October to submit.

Honestly I wouldn't bother wasting a line in a PS about the CS score--it's pretty obvious that an IMG with a CS fail is going to need to retake, so saying he's retaking it doesn't really accomplish anything. Just make sure he re-submits the USMLE transcript as soon as his passing score becomes available. It's obviously not ideal, but I'm not sure there's good alternatives in this case.
