Im taking the CS exam in january and was wondering of any of the books out there (ie first aid CS) are any good.

Here's the thing: i don't know who you are but you will very likely pass this exam with no preparation. I reviewed the new first aid for the clinical skills exam, and while in general this book is overkill, it is also right on in terms of how the exam went. You will find cases on the exam (can't get into too much detail here) that are virtually identical to the cases in the book. Some of the "challenging questions" will be verbatim. I highly recommend taking a look at the book if you have any concern about your ability to zip through this exam. It is worthwhile anyway as a review for the CK exam so I don't think is necessarily money wasted even if you find it to be overkill for the CS test.

This may have been asked somewhere else - if so sorry but....has anyone failed it? I mean on the grade report does it have a distribution of how many passed and how many failed - or has anyone heard of anyone who has failed it?

I skimmed First Aid for Step 2 CS while at Barnes & Noble. It was enough.
