I haven't worked on it today, but the other day it was working all right for me.

Hm...okie..i think i'll check back with it later..maybe its a glitch in the system or sumthin....
hahaha sorrie! um..im using internet explorer, using Windows Vista *not sure if that makes the difference or not*** hm...Hey, stop bumping this thread up! It's embarrassing to show off my dumb question.
Anyway, I was working on it yesterday and had no problem. What browser are you using? I use Firefox and it was fine.
Well, I don't know too much about this sort of thing, but I do know that people blame a lot of stuff on Vista. It's supposedly very buggy. If it still happens, you could always email yourself or save on a disc, your essay answers and then fill out the app on a friends puter.
CSU's supp. is up for me. OK state hasn't shown theirs yet.....available mid-summer it says....
I'm debating on applying to CSU. Do they really look at non-trads seriouslly??? I don't want to waste my $$ if I have no shot.

I think it depends on what you've been doing over the past few years. I know of 2 non-trads who got in this past year but had extensive animal/ veterinary/ research/ life experiences. Due to the holistic approach CSU has decided to take in determining their class, I would think it definitely possible to get in as a non-trad.

I can only speak of my personal case. But I was accepted this year. I'm 36 now and I was out of school for 10+ years before going back to pursue vet med. I worked as a paralegal during much of that time. Also I was always involved in some sort of animal volunteer work during that time. I just used the explanation essay to show how the skills I gained as a paralegal would transfer to vet med.
I agree with QTKitty that the holistic approach is probably conducive to non-trads. So if you would be happy at CSU, it just might be worth a try.

by some miracle, i got in to CSU too, but as a dvm/phd - and i'm very non-trad (as nearly everyone already knows). however, i was told that CSU took only ~30 out of staters and had 1200 out of state apps last cycle.
Wildfocus does bring up a point. I applied for the DVM/MBA program so they may look at things a little differently for the combined program. They took 6 students into the program this year. I met three of the others tonight and two were non-trad. Certainly there are a large number of applicants for few spots. But don't necessarily let that stop you. Decide if you can financially afford to apply. And if it really would be a dream come true to get in. Somebody has to be those 30 OOS accepted and who's to say it can't be you?!
My general GRE score sucks, so I probably won't apply, just curious. I can look up the numbers, but I know some schools will look a little differently at some things off the record.
