Hi guys,
Long time lurker and first time poster. I just wanted to see if anyone else on here received an invitation to matriculate into their 62nd class.
For those wondering, I received an offer on the 22nd of December (literally as I stepped off the airplane to begin my vacation in Hawaii :soexcited::soexcited::soexcited::soexcited::soexcited:)
I'm still waiting to hear back from a few other schools, as well as attend some interviews, but at this point I will be accepting the offer. I would love hear from others who know more about CSUN's program as well as those that are in it.

Good luck guys!:watching:

Congrats! What were your stats if you don't mind me asking?

Hey Kinesiology.To.DPT,
I should have included them in the original post --
GPA pre req 4.0
GPA cum 3.95
~500 hours in/outpatient hours
GRE 156/161/4.5

Good luck to all others who are applying this cycle!

Hey, I was accepted to CSUN as well.

They require us to accept/decline so soon, before any of the other schools will have let me know of acceptances by.

You said that you will be accepting your offer...

Are we able to accept as of now, but potentially change our decision when we hear back from other schools?

If so, does accepting this university notify other universities, possibly influencing their decisions? I thought I read that PTCAS notifies other schools when you accept a school.

EDIT: I made another thread asking about this in hopes of getting my eyes on the matter too 🙂

Accept CSUN. It's probably one of the more difficult schools to get into AND it's state tuition. 1500 applicants. 36 seats. If you don't want it someone else will.

I would love to accept CSUN depending on whether or not I am accepted to other schools I am interested in. I just want to make sure that sending my acceptance form is not binding, and that I can choose to accept a different school if/when I am accepted to a different one, since I will know after the date I am required to respond to CSUN by.

Unfortunately, CSUN is not available to contact until the day that we are required to contact them by. They said we have until 5pm on Jan 4th, but they should be back by Jan 4th, presumably starting at 8am.

I sent the form back via e-mail, just to reserve a seat.
I think they keep the alternate list large in the case that those who have accepted decide to forfeit their seat. I don't believe that accepting CSUN has any bearing on other schools' decisions or your ability to rescind the acceptance. I think that PTCAS can notify other schools of acceptance OFFERS, but that's pretty much all I remember reading.

That's what I was thinking - I want to reserve my seat before hearing back from other schools, just in case I don't get any good news from them.

I will be calling CSUN on Monday as well, my question to them is regarding possible tuition grants (that I know other schools such as CSULB offer).

Has anyone else heard from CSUN yet?

I am #95 on the waitlist. Does anyone know how many they took last year off the waitlist?

Hey @Kenpokaratekid , from what I know, CSUN creates a wait list of the top 150 applicants and then a low-alternate group (below the top 150). I'm not exactly sure how far they went down last year, but I do remember someone saying it was past #60. It's tough to tell because every year is different. What were your stats like if you don't mind?

got a spot from CSUN as well. I probably will go because my first choice, which is ucsf did not accept me after the interview. Still waiting to hear from Samuel Merritt after their interview. but why mine is class 61 while yours is 62nd

Hi, I got accepted into class 61 as well. I received the offer around January 12 like Lisa. I wasn't put into a waitlist or anything (as far as I know). I'm really curious why others got such an early invite to attend (and why OP is class 62).
