Hey, for those who took the exam, when they gave you a CT of a cross section such as for the thorax or abdomen, do they also let you know what level the image was taken from (i.e. T1)? Thanks.

I don't remember if I had a question where this applied; but I would think they wouldn't; they probably want you to figure out the level yourself.

yes I think I had 2-4 questions with CT cross sections, and they DID NOT have a level listed in the text of the question or on the image itself. I think they do want you to have to figure it out, that way they can pull anatomy in to it along with whatever else the question is asking.

Strawberryfield, what is a good source for ct's? I would appreciate a reply if you know of one, thank you.

A friend of mine got a CT with an arrow to identify a structure that was the spleen, however, my friend was puzzled, because it could have been the upper pole of the kidney, and he was not sure. so if we couldnt see the ribs covering the spleen i guess we would be confused as much as my friend ....

It's not complicated to tell the difference between a T1, T2, CT, MRI, FLAIR, or STIR. Knowing the differences between T1 and T2 can help a great deal in identifying structures.
