everyone always says to know the "basics" when it comes to CT scans...i'm trying to use net anatomy for this and there are just so many details to each scan that i'm wondering how these are presented on the exam and what are the "basics" that i should know...any advice?

If you know where things are relative to other things you should be fine.

The imaging you get is so clear that I don't think there's a point in specifically studying X-rays, CTs, or MRIs (brain imaging might be an exception for the basics, eg. epidural vs subdural hematoma). You should know where things are on cross-section however, so that you can interpret anatomy questions on spatial relationships, both with and without imaging.
