I have some questions, hope someone can help answer them:

1/ It's said that the program's duration is 2 years. Is it possible to get a Committee letter after ONE year of study? Say, if I'm in the program during 2010-2011, can I apply for medical school in Fall 2011, and taking the remaining courses in the lag year?

2/ How expensive is it to live in NY ?

1. it is possible to finish the program in 1 year..but at hunter its really hard to get into the science classes..so be aware..even though your in the program..the classes get full almost immediately. applying into medical school in fall 2011, is contingent upon finishing all the prereqs (except for lab components) before applying as well as the MCAT
2. living in NY is very expensive..you should check craigstlist to give u a realistic impression...a studio in manhattan is ~1800$/month...queens ~$1100.....so check that out..

personally, i would not go to hunter because of its horrible reputation..there are plenty other programs that are much better and will be in areas where rent is much cheaper
