Curiosity killed the (M)Cat -Correlation between SAT and MCAT scores?

After mulling over a couple (hundred) pages of psychology articles for my Social Cognition term paper, and seeing how frequently SAT scores are used to compile subject pools for various tests, I'm curious:

Is there a correlation between MCAT and SAT scores?

Remember that little test? I wouldn't be surprised if there was, since some people are just better at standardized tests than others. On the other hand, the MCAT is definitely more knowledge-based. I think it might be interesting, for those of you who don't mind sharing, to post MCAT and SAT scores to see if there is any relationship. Also, having not taken the MCAT yet, I am curious to see where people in my SAT range fall (hmmm..it's been a while, I wonder how I would do if I took the SAT now )

I mostly show a strong correlation, save 1 anomaly:

1520 SAT (770 V, 750 M)
40 MCAT (14 PS, 13 BS, 13 VR)

780 SAT 2 Writing
O MCAT writing

I personally think the MCAT writing section is one of the dumber things on the planet. My senior thesis advisor complimented me constantly on my writing -- she confided that I was a better writer than any of her PhD students. And I've had a lib arts background, so I have a lot of experience writing all different styles of paper (creative, essays, philo/theo papers) as well as experience writing science papers.

I feel the same way about the writing section, its more of a way to make the test last a little longer and piss you off that much more.

Stats:
SAT 1370 (680 V 690 M)
MCAT 39P (13's across the board)

I don't think the SAT correlates well with the MCAT. There is no science reasoning on the SAT (at least the ACT has a science section). I never really read much in high school, and I think that's why my score was so low on the SAT verbal. The MCAT verbal is much more a critical thinking/reading comprehension test as opposed to the old SAT's evil analogies on words that I will never know the meanings of. At least the SAT won't be used in med school admissions 👍 👍

Other than that, they're not good for much.
