While talking to a few interviewees, I noticed an interesting trend. I thought I would post this question to see if my assumption has any validity whatsoever.

Has anyone who took the August MCAT, who did not go to Harvard undergrad, and who is not a URM get an interview at Harvard Med?

August MCATer
Non-URM
Non-Harvard UGrad

Check me off as reject w/o interview.

It is curious though since I got an interview at nearly all of the other top 10 (see thread "who is STILL waiting for an interview" --> but no acceptances to date)

But I suppose Harvard is Harvard, and they've got some magical formula or means to do it.

Or maybe your observation does hold some water...hmmmm....

I took the August MCAT, not a Harvard (or even an Ivy League student), not a URM and interviewed at Harvard. I am not holding my breath about getting in though. I am grateful for the experience and hope to be pleasantly surprised in a few weeks when they mail their decisions.
