So here I am waitlisted at the two dental schools that I interivewed at. No big deal. Just figured that I would hang out and cross everything on my body that can be crossed hoping that I get picked up. Then today I browse AADSAS and find out that all the information for one of the schools that I am wailisted at has been made blank (eg Invited for interview, under review, whatever).

Now I am perplexed as I do not know if this is a good thing, bad thing or just some random act on their website. Anyone?

It means nothing. Don't read too much into that. Unless it says rejected, then you aren't rejected. If the school told you in writing that you were waitlisted, then assume that much.

i've heard that blank status means that you are accepted. However, don't assume anything...good luck!

This happened to me two years ago when I was applying. The "waitlisted" noticed disappeared; however, it took about a month to get my acceptance news. BTW, make sure you don't cross certain parts of your body. Good luck

I know people come here to get good news, but telling someone you heard it means they got accepted, then telling them not to assume anything... You're gonna drive them crazy.

My advice: Everyone needs to stop reading into AADSAS status changes unless it says "ACCEPTED", lol, it'll make your life less stressful. For obvious reasons:

I think the big moving day will be January 16, so everyone still waitlisted hold on to your hats!

I don't know, seeing as deposits are due January 15th, you have to figure it will take them at least a week or so to process all the ones that arrive at the last minute. I'm thinking more like the end of January is when things will start to get moving again.
