Any soon-to-be MSTP students also shopping for mortgage loan rates? I'm applying for a 100k loan with 20k down for a property in the midwest. The best I got was a 3.375% 5/1 ARM through my school's credit union. They claimed that the stipend situation limited my options. My credit score is great (~780). Also, is it worthwhile to seek help from a mortgage broker? Thanks.
