So I always hear of this 'huge' curve on tests like the MCAT... does the DAT go by any curving system? I would think not because the grade comes instantly, but does anyone know how this works?

yes the exam is curved...missing even one or two questions on a section will drop you a huge ammount (i.e. from a 28 to a 23), but then you can miss a ton of questions and still score around a 17 for that section.

when you finish the exam, percentages for each section pop up, and these differ from version to version of the exam, because those percentages show how you stand compared to everyone else who has taken YOUR version of the test.


so final answer: yes its curved. thats what makes getting a 22+ so tough to do
