Anyone know of any cush Traditional Rotating Internships in the DO world? I know there is a thread about this in the Ophthalmology Forum, but was wondering if anyone had any info for osteopathic Traditional Rotating Internships

TRI's are mostly cush with one or two months that are hard. The whole point of TRI is that you want to take it easy for a year. Sure there are a few that are hardcore, but you can find out about them before hand.
 
I'd like to get some more information about the TRI's as well. I did some searching on the forum but still have some questions.

What exactly should we be looking for in a program?

How competitive are they? I saw the match results on the NMS website for 2012 and saw that only 351 out of 594 TRI spots were filled. I guess a more specific question would be: how competitive would it be to get a TRI position based on the desirability of its location, whether it be a big urban city or near the beach?
