Help me choose . For context I am a current Georgia resident. I’m interested in pediatric allergy/immunology and I am very interested in serving underserved communities as well as research.

I have always put down the $1500 deposit for CUSOM lmao and I do feel I might be good to get out of GA but ultimately, I want to attend the best school for my goals

PCOM-GA

- Start in June so I get access to be grandfathered in to grad plus loans for three years

- Very close to my family

- More urban area

- Larger alumni network

- Seemingly more opportunities for scholarships

- more POC

Cons:

- It starts in June

- Not many research facilities close by other than Georgia Tech and Emory

- Higher COL

- facilities aren’t as nice

CUSOM

- interested in a niche portion of pediatrics that is well represented at another nearby medical institution

- More access to research overall due to the fact that there are several medical schools near Coram and it is located in the research triangle so there are biotech companies, etc.

- Facilities seem nicer

- Rotation sites theme more organized

- Week long curriculum breaks

- Quarterly international medical mission trips

- Strong placement into pediatrics, even though it’s pediatrics

- Lower cost of living

- So are we closer to the beach?

- Associated with an undergraduate school

Cons

- Middle of nowhere, Kinda

- Less opportunity for scholarships

- About a 6 Hour drive away from my family
