Customizing Personal Statements?

Hey all,

I'm applying for Peds residency this cycle and I'm trying to decide if I should customize my personal statement for top programs, like mention the actual program and why it would be a good fit or is this frowned upon?

Concur. The time for personalized info is at the time of interview. If you don't get an interview where you really want, then you can send the PD the personal letter/email.
