even if schools dont' have official cutoffs ones are there schools that are just known to favor a certain cutoff still?

ex: i keep hearing how UoP loves high PAT scores and I think they officially say it too or about their other cut offs? I'm not sure cuz i'm not applying there but am just trying to find out more about schools that I did apply too, UoP gets talked about a lot so it's the first one that comes to my mind as an example

I didn't do as great and am gonna call my schools but even if they say there's no official cut off are there any schools that have unofficial ones?

for example some of the schools I have applied to or am thinking about adding: ASDOH, NYU, UMDNJ, BU, Tufts, VCU, USC, Midwestern, NOVA, Case (seems to have some sort of cut off), Creighton, marquette, loiusville, UNLV (likes high pat?), howard, UMD, Detroit Mercy

If you read the article on the main page with Dr. Hal Lippman you can get an idea of what Nova is looking for. I am pretty sure they don't have any cutoffs because I was accepted with a 14 QR.

I don't really know how true this is. Our administration is pretty upfront with what they look for, and I believe they place a much higher emphasis on AA and RC than PAT.

Do you know what the "cutoffs" for AA and RC are for UOP? Those are unfortunately my weak spots.

UOP representative on the phone told me they look for 20s on the RC because dental schools are hard but it is condensed into 3 years, which means a lot more reading than regular dental school in a shorter period of time. Thus there is a lot of emphasis on the RC score. That was essentially what they told me.

I contacted NYU and they said 17

eeek 17! for EVERYthing? or for overall?
i tried calling NYU and no one picked up so i'm curious as to what this 17 is for??

all the schools that I talked to manily said that overall if you're in their average then doing bad on one section (like my 16 in math) is not the end of the world. i hope same goes for NYU too.

I think the main thing that they look at is your AA, TS, and PAT being within one point of the average. I bombed QR so hopefully they wont axe me....

Across the board but they did say they will take everything in account so if you have enough to off set the below 17 score you should get an interview
