I was wondering how much info is too much to put into the CV section of ERAS; should I describe my research/extracurriculars the same way that I would in a normal resume/CV, or should I elaborate a little more? In first aid for the match it suggests the former. I was wondering what most people do.

I chose to elaborate a bit more. My CV that I will hand to people is in bulleted format and the ERAS CV obviously cannot be. Given that you need to put it in sentence format, it needs to make sense. Given that, I only used up the 1020 character limit once. Hope that helps.

I did mine in the same format as my written CV -- not full sentences. The way the CV comes up when you go to "View CV format", I think it's meant to be just like the standard CV people used to send in on paper. In my opinion, program directors don't want to be reading any more than absolutely necessary.
