I have another silly CV question. Are those lunchtime electives (ie attend 7 of 9 lectures and you receive credit in clinical nutrition, ethics, med spanish, etc) worthy of going on your CV? I don't want to seem like I'm grabbing at straws for things to go on my CV but at the same time I don't want to sell myself short.

Thanks!

I wouldn't. Attending clinical lectures isn't that much different than reading a book about nutrition, ethics, etc., and you don't put that on CVs. If you are FLUENT in Spanish or other languages, it is beneficial to put that near the end, to help set you apart from other applicants.

Just my $0.02

These make no difference at all and kind of make you look desperate.

worked for a pharma company last summer and did 2 things

- designed and taught a teaching module... then presented my work at the end of the summer (told ppl the plan and what i did... i didnt do any data analysis)

- completed data analysis for micro lab results for the company and presented at the end of summer also

do either or both of these presentations qualify for my cv? would doing a poster of the data analysis, procedures, etc. have been better?

If you presented a poster at a regional or national meeting, then put it on your CV especially if you also contributed to an abstract that was published in the meeting abstracts. If your poster was an in-company presentation, then mention with your employment description but not as a separate listing.
