Hi,

I'm a current PGY-3 about to start PGY-4, and am in the process of updating my CV to apply for my first post-residency job this summer.

Is it ok to list a few important certifications that we will be getting ("anticipated") before graduation. For example, I am in the process of getting buprenorphine certified, but this won't occur until the later part of PGY-4. However, I think it would be important to communicate to a future employer that i would have this training/certification before graduation.

Also, anyone else's CV pretty sparse? I'm only including things from residency onward apart from degrees.

Thanks

Just list them with expected completion date:
Buprenorphine Waiver, completion expected 6/15/2019

There is nothing wrong with including past accomplishments before med school either, particularly if relevant. For example, I used to be an ACT team social worker and a paramedic. I also include one or two past jobs I am proud of to show I've always been working: science department chair, a construction job I did to put myself through school. If nobody else cares about that it's fine. My C.V. is only a bit more than one page.
I only have one or two old research projects listed. Hasn't hurt me yet, but I also don't go for big academic positions, not my style
