So I'm trying to polish my CV for the programs that request a copy, and I was just wondering a few things...

How much of a description did you provide for each position? One person told me I should keep it short and sweet. Another mentor suggested I elaborate a little for each position to make it a bit longer.😕

Was it an even number of pages? I.e. I can make it fit on a single page, or if I add a little bit more detail, it comes to about 1.5 pages (even after changing the font size!😉) Will it look weird with .5 page of empty space?

Thanks to anyone who has some insight!

Personally, I did one or two sentences about each. The total length on mine was about 5 pages, and ended on a half-page. I didn't worry about half-pages, but I did try to avoid breaking entries between pages.

Keep the font 12 times new roman. CVs are as long as they need to be. Resumes are the ones that are suposed to be short and sweet.

CV can be as long as it can be. Be sure to include things that are relevant to whatever you are applying to.

Depending on the nature of the application, also consider moving sections around. If it's a research job, you may begin with honors and awards (grants), publications, and research experience. If it's a clinically-oriented job, consider putting clinical experience before research experience. Teaching experience may also be helpful.
