Hey all, just looking for some opinions for CVS employees who participate in the dental plans they offer. I'm new to the company and currently in process of signing up for coverage for the upcoming year. They offer the Delta PPO or Aetna DMO. From what I can see, the Aetna limits the dentists in the area and you can only use in network dentists, but has no maximum coverage per person (cheaper per year). The Delta lets you choose which dentist you want to go to but has a maximum of $1,500 coverage per person per year. Seems like a no brainer but just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with either side or has any input. Thanks!

I went with Aetna last year and switched to Delta this year. I have no preference between them (I went with Delta based on a coworkers recommendation) and next year I will go with whatever is cheaper.

I go with Aetna. Never had a problem with them. My wife had to get a few cavities filled and the copays were reasonable.

Awesome, thanks guys. Just wanted to see if there were any nightmare-ish stories between the two! Glad there aren't any yet

If your teeth are good and you are young, go with a DMO. If not, go with the PPO. The better dentists in a community usually do not take DMO patients.

Wait I'm thinking if your teeth are bad then DMO would be better because there is no annual maximum coverage.

Like I said, better dentists don't usually take DMO plans......
