Hi, I was wondering about the process for getting an intern position. I have some connections with the pic who I assume is in charge of the hiring but at this point I'm suppose to wait for someone to call me. I assume doing the training and drug test would take ~1 week? Anyone been in this situation?

Hi there! I am in the same situation. Waiting for a call from some one. Did they ever call you back? What was the timeframe?

The wait is killing me!

lol it takes forever, as a PIC it can take several weeks for a regular tech to get to NCO training after extending an offer. I would say it's normal to take 3+ weeks from offer to actually starting work

It takes awhile. It took about a month from the interview for me to get the email informing me of the store I'm assigned at. Another month or so to get an official offer letter. But once the offer letter is signed, it's a rush to get you through the drug screening. Then I think it takes awhile to get the training started. But once training started, it's a 2 - 3 weeks thing because it's all time sensitive.

Mine took 5 minutes by I was already there as a tech. As far as becoming a tech that took awhile... they were not at all organized and never even interviewed me... not sure if they ever realized this. Store manager and training person told me conflicting things but after 2-3 training classes, 10-20 modules, and about 30-60 days you will be good to go.

@trangtn Wow a month, I don't feel so bad then.

All in all it took about a little over a month to get the ball rolling for me from application -> hired. I'm just about finished with all the training .

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your responses! It all worked out faster than I thought! I completed the hiring process in 4 days! Now waiting for the new employee orientation! Can anyone tell me as to how long it takes to go froam a technician to an intern? I already hqve an intern license
