CVS - Hours counted towards benefits

Hello all,

I know in order for someone to qualify for health benefits, one must work 30 hours a week. How is that counted? There are weeks where I work 40 and another where I work 20. Am I safe to say that by the end of the benefit year, if I worked 1,580 hours (2080 x 30/40), I would qualify for benefits? How do vacation hours kick in on something like this? Would they also count within the 1.580?

What is your position? How many hours are you supposed to work per week?
 
I believe it is a 12 week rolling period. You must average 30hrs or more within the last 12 weeks.

Vacation and holiday pay is based on your full time status. If you are not full time, then no. If you are full time, then those things will be based on your base hours from the time you become full time.

I can't see a DM/Sup letting someone who is a part time pharmacist become full time because they 'accidentally' have been scheduling too many hours. They watch it very closely even for tech.
 
It is based on your status and base hours. When you log into myHR make sure it says you are full time and your base hours are 30 or more. If you are not coded in as full time, then you can work 60 hours and you still won't get benefits. CVS is notorious for doing this especially to techs, they promise to change the their status to full-time but never do. Then they get pissed and leave. Hence the high turnover rate.
