CVS Intern Payroll - How long before you get kicked off?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Does anyone know how long it takes before you get kicked off the CVS payroll... ie. not working for 3-4 weeks... I'm not too sure what the time frame is... any help would be greatly appreciated

I believe it is 4 weeks unless you take a L.O.A.

4.. but seriously, try to work at least one day in a month. That way you get 3 weeks paid vacation instead of 2 when you graduate.

I would have thought that it would be the same everywhere, but I was told by my intern director in GA that it is 120 days. Haven't tested that, but I have gone over 90 days without working and I was still in the system.

Huh? Is the 3 week paid vacation some kind of bonus or something?

No. Most retail RPH start out with 2 weeks paid vacation. However, CVS counts the year you work with the company and not only as RPH. Hence, if you have been with the company 5 or more years, you get 3 weeks. It might sound petty but 3 weeks in retail is awesome.

I haven't worked since 7/31. If I'm still able to log into learnet, am I still considered an employee? If I keep doing online trainings will I stay on it?

Thanks

So if I started back in 7/2010 would I get 3 weeks as of 7/2015 which would be the start of my 6th year or would I get the 3 weeks during my actual 5th year of employment which would be as of 7/2014? I have heard from CVS sources both possibilities.

FYI: CVS Self Service Solution is a good tool instead of relying on people on this board

Schedule for Earning Vacation
The amount of your vacation is determined as follows:

Length of Continuous Service

Vacation Weeks Per Calendar Year
First of the month following 6 months of continuous service 2 weeks (pro-rated during the first calendar year of eligibility)
First of the year following 4 full calendar years of service 3 weeks
First of the year following 14 full calendar years of service 4 weeks

Note: Annual vacation allocation is determined at the beginning of each year and is determined by your length of service as of December 31st of the prior year and your scheduled or average hours as applicable.

I think it has been this way since I first looked. I started in high school in 1999 and didn't expect to hit 4 weeks before graduating from pharmacy school in 2010.

so if I keep doing trainings but don't work ,will i be kept on payroll?

LearnNet does NOT automatically pay you for training. Someone must manually enter those hours. As long as the hours are being paid, yes, you will be kept on the payroll.

4 hours every 12 weeks to stay in system.
