Cvs Internship????

Hey i was wandering if any one knows when do i become an intern in cvs is it when u get started in professional phase or after third year?????

I don't believe this is necessarily true. It depends on what you mean by intern. I believe you have the freedoms of a Pharmacy Technician prior to year 3. At year 3, you can officially become a pharmacy intern, which allows you to have more pharmacist roles.

Well, I started as a Year 2 Student at CVS. Through a series of mistakes where they assumed that I made it into the program last year, I am now considered a Year 4 Student, and this can raise a lot of hell. I told them repeatedly in September 2007 that I didn't make it in, and they just said to forget about it and it would be fixed later.

Looks like it depends on the state. In Texas you are an intern (with "more pharmacist roles") once you complete your first year.

in tennessee you are considered an intern the summer before you start pharmacy school and you are entered in the system as a "3rd year intern" -meaning you have completed your 2 years of pre-requisite classes and you are going to be in your 3rd year of classes/ (1st professional year of pharmacy school)...I know its confusing!! lol

It probably all depends on the state. In New York you get your intern license after completing your first year of pharmacy school. With that you can do anything a pharmacist can (with the pharmacist countersigning and checking you of course)
