I'm currently a 6th year pharmacy student enrolled and working in the Massachusetts area. I was told that our job offers for Current CVS interns would come in September. Since it's the end of September and I haven't heard anything yet um getting a little worried. I'm curious to hear if any other cvs interns have gotten an offer or when interns in years past received their offers. Thanks!!

some cvs verbal offers went out today,
once paper offers are delivered, one week is given for response

When I was a student, we had to sign the offer by either October or November, I can't really remember. If we didn't sign it, we weren't allowed to continue working as an intern. I ended up having to sign a part-time contract in order to continue working as an intern. It's probably different now. Now they're taking their sweet time.

Got an invite for interview at the career fair at my school.
Hello my CVS folks,
I am not currently an intern with CVS but I got an offer almost 10days ago and I mailed back the required documents. Does anyone know how long does it take them to process background checks, receive the drug screening results, etc....Should I call my supervisor and ask him if he received it or just wait till he contacts me back? It has been almost 2 weeks! What should I do? I hate to bother them and keep calling or emailing them!!!

Two weeks is way to long. Contact him and find out what is going on. Drug results take a few days tops and background checks are done sooner than that.

Are CVS graduate interns required to sign a contract or can they work per diem? Also, how readily can interns transfer between stores in their area/district? I am asking since I would like to stay with the company, but I may not wish to stay within the area that I currently work.

hey im currently an intern at CVS I was wondering how many time were you interviewed by your district pharmacy supervisor and when did you received you offering letter. I am a little worry because I was interview in late July and was told that I should received an offer within a month or so. It is almost October and I am hearing from other classmates that some students were offered a second interview. So I kind of lost with how CVS pharmacist hiring process work at this point.

My offer happened on the same day as my only interview. If you haven't heard back yet, I'd try to get in touch with them and maybe they'll see that you really want the job. Sometimes, it takes persistence.

No way, two weeks isn't too long. It took them quite a while to process everything for me. However, they knew that I wouldn't start until a couple of months down the road. So maybe that's why... dunno.

Ditto for my friends in my district. I think everyone is holding their breaths to if patients go back to wags with the esi contract. I'm guessing most people won't but I wouldn't expect offers till spring imo.

All of my promotions/raises have come later than promised, I have been put on Leave of Absence even after me and my boss agreed I would stay on during school (supposedly it was an accident, it took weeks to fix and required me to do all the new employment stuff again), etc.
Why would I expect my offer letter to be on time?

CVS being slow HR wise actually was good for me. I started their during my 2nd year of pre-pharmacy and they automatically bumped me up to an intern rate the following summer because they assumed I got into the professional phase of pharmacy school. I told them that I didn't make it in, DM sent a note to HR, but they never did anything about it, lol.

Oh come off it, shouldn't everyone be allowed to complain about their jobs sometimes?
And I don't resent the company. I learned up front to expect them to be a little slow getting things done HR wise, that's all. Well, maybe I resent them a little bit.

I was half-right. The offer letters are not going to go out until Nov now. But my intern coordinator says I was selected for a full-time offer. No other details at this time.

So, am reviving this latent thread to see if anyone has gotten their offer letter in the mail yet? I interviewed at the end of August and was told to expect the offer letter in September. With typical delays I wouldn't be surprised if it does not come until October or even November...these things take time. Just curious to see what the experience has been like out there regarding receiving written offer letters?

I Don't think it is a CVS issue. I think it is a regional hr manager, DM, or PIC/ store manager issue. From my experience, a lot of these things can be done quickly, if it is put in by the right person.
At my current store, it takes me about 2 months to put a raise in. At one of my old stores, I can get extra raises for my technician in their next check.
One supervisor gave me my raises quickly (extra raises for going to different stores or promotions). Another supervisor took forever...
