CVS no longer takes BXBS?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Just spoke to a cvs pharmacist for a transfer. When asked about it, he said they dropped it 3 years ago and never recovered. Man, no wonder they're cutting hours lol

Odd. BCBS used to be the insurance their employees got before the aetna merger.

Examples: BCBS FEP uses Caremark as the PBM so I'm sure CVS takes that.

BCBS "BlueAdvantage Adminstrators of Arkansas" uses ESI (Optum in 2020) and is one of the Walmart employee plans but not accepted at CVS.

No- bcbs doesn’t contract on behalf of Walmart. Walmart contracts with ESI directly. BCBS just happens to be their medical benefit but it’s unrelated to their rx benefit.

Not sure if FEP contracts directly or what.
