Recently there's an open intern position at a CVS near me that I want to apply for. However, a long time ago I worked at CVS and was terminated due to being very inexperience in my first job. It has been five years since then, if I apply for CVS now, can I be re-hire or am I still in the system as being terminated and can't be hire again?

At some point during the hiring process they will ask if you were a previous employee who was terminated and you will need to provide an answer. Whether or not they decide to overlook that depends on your answer and the discretion of the hiring manager. Doesn't hurt to try.

There is a "Do Not Rehire" flag they can put on your file. It probably wasn't done unless you were caught stealing.

They'll hire you again. If CVS wouldn't hire anyone they've terminated then that would eliminate many potential hires.

Now that the interns go through a different system to be hired, I wouldn't be so sure it is a slam dunk. It takes much longer now too.

A termination code is entered every time somebody is terminated. Each code is tagged as either eligible for rehire or not eligible. If you were terminated for cause it should have been entered as not eligible for rehire, but it's possible they could have coded you as eligible. Even if you are coded as not eligible for rehire you can still be hired if the HRBP approves. It happens but it's not that common.

I see, I was terminated for mis-rung medications. Each time I mis-rung a prescription she talked to me about it then hold it to herself then write me up for it stating that I wasn't improving. Eventually she used that reason to terminate me. Shortly afterward, another pharmacist that I help out at another store wanted to re-hire me and told me that I can't be hire anymore stating that the system said " I'm not eligible for rehire."
