hi, im considering relocating to another state, and i wonder what is the best approach? ask my current supervisor first and he'll take care of it? or find the supervisor in that state first? then lastly reciprocating the license? if u relocated before pls share how u went about it?

Slight threadjack: I am a pharmacy intern with CVS P3 (Illinois) and am thinking about living with family in California during the first two out of seven rotations. This means that I will be there for a total of 12 weeks. Per CVS rules in order to keep myself onstaff I must work at minimum a 4 hour shift over a 30 day period. Thought that one solution might be to get a CA pharmacy tech license and try to pick up an odd shift every so often at a CVS in the California area while I am there. When I mentioned this to my PIC she stated that I might have a hard time of it due to the fact that there were Union issues at CVS pharmacies in California. So, does anyone know if this is correct? Are the pharmacy techs and/or interns unionized? Here endeth my threadjacking.

So another thing you MIGHT be able to do is have your store manager key you in for four hours of training every 28 days to keep you in the system. Of course you would have to do the intern Learnet training modules to make it honest. That is what my intern coordinator does for us whenever we are going to be unable to work our one shift/28 days. She just assigns us training modules to complete and get keyed in for.

I am actually an Intern with CVS and I go to school in a state where there is no CVS so I can only work when school is on Xmas break or during the summer. According to my Field training manager, interns are different from techs. An intern needs to work 4 hours every 3 months while a tech needs to work 4 hours every month. So I just need to do 4 hours of LearNet (billed to TR7) training once every 3 months during school time. You can possibly do that during the time that you will be in CA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
