Can we change the "one pharmacy call" voice, too?

Screw this dude that is whining because he had to listen to the gold music a few times a week. We have to hear that damned voice every couple of minutes. It haunts my nightmares.

Haha I use CVS for my prescriptions. I hate them too just as a customer. My husband went with me the other day to pick mine up and as we’re waiting he’s like “god that’s awful. Wish they would stop with those automated voices.” I was like yupp the pharmacy forum on SDN says it gives them nightmares.

Literally.

Let's be real here...CVS was changing their phone system anyway. Mostly in an effort to decrease phone calls handled by staff and, thus, giving them an excuse to cut tech hours. Tying it into this lets the PR department have a feel good story put out there. This physician is naive enough to think they actually cared what he thought.

Like Kaiser with their call center possibly? It takes forever to call them to get redirected to a different department

Well, if CVS would actually answer phone calls they wouldn't hear that.

Kaiser is the biggest joke when it comes to contacting someone in a timely fashion and they get mega butthurt when you take your time on their transfer requests too.

Rumor has they're replacing it with Katy Perry songs

Man you're pushing this "CVS in Target doomsday theory" hard lately. You get canned recently or something?
How can you get canned if you were never hired? and what can I say I want my CVS stock to recover. I bought in at 112 it's less than half that. They need to become more profitble if they are going to be able to take on Bezos and his Whole Foods pharmacies.

Maybe those on hold will have more sympathy for us if they get the same robotic voice that gets blared at us.

"One pharmacy call ahead of you"

"349274982737429388924372 pharmacy calls ahead of you"

Have you ever worked in a Target store? (If you did you might also wonder how they can stay open.)

No, but I have friends that do. I don't wanna beat the dead horse over here as it's been discussed in other threads, but people seem to always confused revenue with profit in those stores. Yes, they are SLOOWWWW, but due to significantly lower overhead they can be quite profitable.

Even stores with < 50 scripts per day? They still have to pay the biggest overhead of all, the Rph who gets paid $60+/hr to play on their phone.

I've always been surprised that CVS hasn't updated the hold music to promotional ads pushing automatic refills, vaccines, minute clinic, etc

I wont be surprised if they changed it to a computer voice reciting the stores metrics and what theyre lacking. Lol.

Scene: Customers pouring into the isles like ants in a stamped "I'm coming at you like a dark horse" .... hell in and of it's self but I am blessed for Walgreens

Literal lol. I am two decades a pharmacist finally surrendered to a chain life. Two months in I coach myself to look for the positive. My go to haven: the lovely "beep" of a caller on hold and the gentle trill of others whom I invariably will hold.... I think of what could be.... that gd classless, soul crushing "One pharmacy call." Eye on the prize; a paycheck and a "home."

I comforted and counseled a 101 year old dear who busted her foot. That was this week's professional reward. Truth be told, this was one of many.

I want to get the phone but I cannot always.

I get knocked down but I get up again. Thanks you guys. This forum is filled with whit and charm. Peace.

This doctor is old school. Harvard got money, sign up for E-Precribe for god sake. Why you wasting your time calling for new rx 3 times a day? Why? Maybe if Harvard accept Asians and stop being racist, the medical school would be more high tech. Nothing pissed me off more than a doctor or medical assistant calling in new rx, even worse leaving a long voicemail. It’s 2019 for god sake.

i got an complaint today for the hold music. my dm texted me and told me to close the complaint before it went higher to the corporate. i really want to tell him can you please tell your boss to change the music. i dont like it neither when i was on hold with the other cvs stores, hahaha
