CVS Tranfer In/Out

Can someone explain to me general rules about Transfer In/Out at CVS as a pharmacist ? I's so confused. Let's say:
TI from competitor: we call the competitor for all information on the patch for regular Rxs, then scan and enter as new Rxs. Do we need to ask them to fax the original Rxs to us? This is good for one med. How about a list of many meds?
TI from another CVS: just locate patient profile from central search and follow TI promps?

TO to competitor: the competitor call us and ask for pts information, then we follow TO promps to complete (to void Rxs)? do we do anyhting more here?
TO to another CVS: what do we do?

I don't work for CVS.

For transfers you need the pharmacy information (name, address, phone number), who you spoke with (intern, pharmacist name).

Prescription information (Rx number, name of drug, strength, directions, quantity, refill, how many refills are being transferred, original date, last date filled). FYI, some states only allow 1 refill to be transferred and some only allow non controls to be transferred. Also you are not allowed to transfer Medicare part b dme items. Dme items you need a script regardless so a verbal doesn't work anyhow.

So if someone calls me, I give them all the info and then my name and then I ask for their store number and name and I transfer it out in my system.

If I call for one, I ask for the info and give them my name and type it up with TTTTTTTT and print out the transfer script and sign it.

It's posts like these that really drive home how poor CVS's "training" system is & make me question if people still have attention spans. Google & cheat your way through school & life in general & see how far it takes you.

To play devils advocate, what more can CVS do? They have online modules, classroom training days, and field days with district trainers where you practice doing stuff in the pharmacy. If that’s not enough, what would be?!
 
Rite Aid and Walgreen will generally fax you the prescriptions you're transferring. All they really need is your name. CVS have two pads, 1) for transcribing verbal orders, 2) for transferring Rx. All the info you need is on there for you to fill out. Pharmacy name, phone, Rx #, all the dates, Rph name, MD info. It's all there. Once you get the info, just entered as a new Rx, and only changing the original date. Otherwise, you can use TI function.

To transfer to another CVS, get the store number. TO-->internal transfer, enter the store number and Rx number (must be verified/hold), add in wait time, put enter your credentials. It's that easy. CVS system is pretty easy to get around. Just need to read all the options.

I am sorry if you thought this way. However, posting a question like this does not mean that I am not capable of learning. Once I got it, nothing can defeat me. Each person have their own stories.
