Hello! I was wondering how CVS works when it comes to students going home for the summer? I live around 300 miles from home and didn't know if I could easily work at another location for the summer or if that's a difficult process?
It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience. Some intern coordinators will talk about needing to get their permission first but in reality you can just do it. As long as you’re active in the system you can work anywhere.

It is super easy, you will need a manager creds to clock in. You will enter your info to clock in, it will say user not found. You enter it again and then it will ask for a manager key. I have people use the floater sign in. Your POS creds won't work. So a member of management will either need to create some for you or let you borrow some.
The process to get your pharmacy creds is the same and doesn't require any extra steps. It is pretty common for students to float around at other stores during the summer.
I forgot to mention, it will be up to you to find a store that wants you to work there. This should be super easy though as basically every store is always in need of help in my experience.
