Does anyone know what the crap is going on with Case? Are they still alive? Has anyone heard anything about completed files, interviews, or what the hell is going on with their status and application pages???

Wait, does that mean you not only heard from them, but actually got a secondary from Case? If so, when did you get it?

I got my secondary at like midnight on the 4th of August. But I had my AMCAS finished and verified in June.

I heard late july, but don't worry I think it's coming. Someone on another thread gave them a call, and they said they'll be sending secondaries to everyone. They say they're staggering them 'to make it easy on the committee'. I don't think anyone has any idea how they decide when to send secondaries to whom, but all that planning may have been abandoned as a result of the power outage. Now we're all in the dark . . . (yay puns)

i called today to check on the status of my application and they said they hope to have the site working again by tomorrow (weds, 8/27)... but they didn't sound too optimistic about the prospect of that actually happening.

does anyone know if the two page limit on essays is single or double spaced? That is a big difference....

I was finally able to get into it. I found that my app has not been marked as complete, even though I have called them and they have said they have everything a month ago.

I know I don't really want to know the answer to this question, but would the page indicate if an interview has been granted (assuming a complete app, of course).

Well, in my tired post-nap stupor, I managed to resubmit my application after it had been submitted for about a month. yay! Now they expect another 80 dollars. Oh the brilliance.

I'm not able to access this. I get a warning that I'm accessing an insecure site. Anyone else having this problem?

Is anyone else having second thoughts about CWRU because of how long their server has been down? While the northeast blackout was undoubtedly a big problem, two weeks should have been enough time to fix it. Is anyone else looking at this as being possibly indicative of the infrastructure and state of technology at Case and changing their mind about submitting the secondary and paying that application fee?

Actually, they were hit by the worm virus. I was told even still none of their voicemails work and they have had some trouble with potentially losing data. I don't think the blackout helped any, but it alone didn't cause the delay.

I was still not able to access the site yesteday--kept getting that security warning and then eventually being kicked off. Then I couldn't access Pitt's either...so much for getting those done this weekend...

Sorry to be repeating the same question, but how long is too long for CWRU's secondary essay? Is it bad to go over 700 words? 800 words?

i think i just responded to your message in a separate thread, but my essay ended up being about 1000 words long (1.5 pages, single-spaced)... but it was only that long b/c i couldn't have made it any shorter.
