From two perspectives, when would you say the cycle is over?

1) In regard to merit aid

2) In regard to general acceptances

I know there is a LOT of variability depending on the school, but would we say around late March after all the waitlist movement?

((Haven't heard anything in so long it just feels over))

For MD, now. Merit aid is 100% different from the app cycle
I've got a few schools that I interviewed at and haven't heard from. If I don't hear by the end of this month are you saying it would be very very unlikely to hear from them in March? I thought the waitlist movement thing was like a well known thing to occur in March

What are you basing this on? Just curious to know your source

It depends a lot on the school. Some schools are still giving out interviews, whereas my school and some others finished sending out acceptances about a month ago.

Stressor, can you PM me?

I'm surprised to hear people got interview invites this week. I know a few places have March interviews but I would have thought they scheduled people several weeks ahead of time, so pretty much all invites are done being sent by now.

I got 2 II's last week (will be turning down both)... there are a good amount of schools that interview until March and April and many of the II's at this point of the cycle get turned down so schools will be needing to send a healthy amount of them. Schools are probably practicing yield control for II's at this point in the cycle lol.

My notion is that state schools may keep the cycle open longer.
