A usmlerx question asked which transport channel is defective in Cystic fibrosis. It had both Na+ and Cl- listed as options. I thought BOTH were defective, but as it turns out, it seems to be only Cl-. Is this right, because my Goljan Rapid Review says it's a Na+ and Cl- channel problem?

CFTR affect chloride transport directly. This will indirectly affect Na homeostasis.
