Year 2003, In college A: ESL class ( 6 units) got an D
conceptual physics ( 3 units) got an F
Year 2008-2009, in college B ( this college is not accredited) completed 45 units with gpa 3.87.
Year 2009-2010, in college C: general chem I,II both got A
Calculus I,II both got A
English : A
Statistics: A
general Bio I: A
how does AMCAS count my college B course works, what about the ESL class. Should I retake those classes for the purpose of raising my gpa?
I am so depressed now although I got 4.0 in college C, and I am still taking classes in college C right now, but the D and F from college A are going to ruin my gpa.
I am 26 years old already, I don't know if I should continue pursue my dream to become a doctor because I have a daughter and a wife already, by the time I make doctor, I will be near 37, but now my gpa is ruined, I don't know if I can still make it to MD schoold, or DO schools.
Also, I don't speak English well, but I have no problem reading like science textbook, physics, organic chem, no problem. My writing skill is ok, since I got an A in English 100 which is a composition class. But what I really worried about is my oral skills because If I am lucky enough in the future, I might get a chance of interview with med-school admin committe, but I won't be able to speak fluently or express myslef very clearly. In my situation, what should I do, I don't wanna give up to become a doctor because I've make a lot of sacrifices in the past to make it this far both financially and mentally.
I would appreaciate any serious replies.
Thank you so much!

I don't know if my situation applies to yours, but I also received very bad grades when I took some random classes in community college. I got 2 C's and a B in these courses because I thought they wouldn't matter (they were not calculated into my high school GPA). My GPA from my "real" college course work is 3.88 from a very competitive top school but on my AMCAS it is lowered to ~3.7 for overall GPA and ~3.6 for sGPA because these C's and B's I got in community college were science classes. My MCAT score is 37 and I have received interview invites to top 10 programs right now (I haven't gone to any interview yet). I do explain these grades whenever the secondary asks about it and I am sure that my situation is considered and the admission ppl won't discredit my work in undergrad just because of these bad grades I got in high school. I would say if you can score well on MCAT and you have a good reason why you received these grades then you will be fine. It doesn't seem very smart to retake an ESL class though. What's the point if you can already speak English more or less?

I don't think AMCAS counts grades from non-accredited colleges. so your 45 credits at college B won't count on your GPA. also, going from a D in ESL to an A in English looks impressive. People get in all the time with situations like that. Just practice your English as much as you can, and you would do fine at any interview. Also, if you are not a U.S. citizen, admissions is very competitive, and that is something you should look at as well.
