Can't seem to get a consensus on what is D.O.C. for preventive treatment of exercised induced asthma-- the question basically asked what should the athlete use before exercise; short acting beta agonist was not a choice. This was a shelf question.

Cromolyn--mast cell stabalizer

or a steroid were among the answer choices.

I chose Cromolyn because they used the world prophalactic.

Was cromolyn the wrong answer or do you not know?

Sodium cromglycate is prophylactically used for exercise induced asthma

I do not know for sure because it was a comprehensive shelf exam--NBME.

But I guess mast cell stabalizer was the correct answer based on your last sentence. Thanks.
