Couple of questions regarding M.D. EM. I am currently doing a traditional rotating internship at a D.O. hospital. I have applied for D.O. & M.D. EM programs. I currently have 5 D.O. interviews. I was wondering if 1 slor, 2 faculty LORs, and a LOR from my program director would be good enough to get interviews at M.D. EM programs. Thanks.

Your program director cannot fill out a SLOR. SLORs can only be completed by board-certified EM docs.

Not quite - EM faculty, as in EM residency faculty. I am board-certified but working a private gig. Cannot fill out SLOR.

Sorry the letter from my program director is just a LOR. I only have one slor and it's from an EM physician. Sorry was in a compliance lecture when I typed my first post and it was on my phone.

My scores are competitive with what I have seen people post in the past.

Is it from EM residency faculty? If it isn't then you are screwed.

I think two SLORS minimum form EM residency faculty would be most helpful to your cause. Coming from a DO program, having more objective data points in the MD system will help you tremendously.
