Getting a letter from a D.O.

Can the letter be on a sample letterhead found from online or one from her practice?

Also if she signs it with her name typed Is that okay? Or is a written signature a must?

Thanks

Letterhead from her practice.

Written signature. I know someone from last cycle who had a big issue just because one LOR wasn't signed.

So all LORs must be signed? What if they just typed the name in the case of a digital letter?

Official letterhead from their practice and written signature. You're talking about an important document, not a friendly correspondence. It needs to be professional and handled accordingly.

EDIT: Forgot about the Interfolio digital signature. At least have an official letterhead.

I had 1 person write me a digital letter and she said there was a place where she had to sign using her mouse on Interfolio.

I haven't been through the process myself so I don't know how it goes.

If possible try and get your AACOMAS ID on there also. I don't know how lenient they are on that issue.

Oh really? Interesting. I will double check on that

I was wondering about this. What if you want to send the letters to MD schools also? Would another letter without the AACOMAS ID need to be generated?

Signed with Pen + Letterhead and either mailed or scanned to be uploaded.

How can this physician not know that the document is worthless without her signature?

Question: is it nail in the coffin to put both AACOMAS and amcas ID on the one letter so as to not piss them off?

If you use interfolio, interfolio will attach the aacomas/aamcas letter ids and your id to the document when they send it out. Your letter write just needs to write the letter and sign. It's a very painless process

oh the system puts ID automatically? Are you sure?
