Which one of these degrees would be better for OB/GYN?

As far as patients go, as a women would you care if you went to a DO or MD OBGYN?

Anythoughts on this comparison would be very helpful, thanks!

There are very sucessful D.O. obgyns in my town and surrounding areas. I don't know of any that are IMG. I have to tell you this too, the doctors that went to school in the U.S. try to discourage pts from visiting doctors that went to school out of the U.S. I also pondered about going to the carib, but every doctor I spoke with advised me against that idea. I don't agree with this but it seems to be the going theme thesedays.

I think a high caliber student coming from an IMG or DO program stands an excellent chance at OB residency. To compare is pointless.

That's an odd comparison to make. As a DO student, I don't particularly care who I see as long as they're competant. I've seen MD's who are incompetant, DO's who are incompetant, and IMG's who are incompetant. And very competant docs of all three categories. You can't just pigeonhole someone's ability based on where they went to school.
