I submitted my M.D. and D.O. applications august 1st and my M.D. application was verified after only three weeks and for some reason my D.O. application has yet to be verified. Does anyone know why it takes longer for D.O. than M.D.?

The AMCAS this cycle is much faster than the last cycle. What would have taken 8 weeks to verify last year takes only half of that this year. I think AACOMAS is still the same in terms of time. Not sure exactly why.

Aacomas took me 7 weeks. Its different services. My friends using amcas took them 1 week.

By now, the majority of MD primary apps have already been submitted. Deadlines start in Oct for some MD schools and most have deadlines before Jan, whereas DO schools have primary deadlines mostly in Jan-March. Because of this, the distribution of app submissions for AMCAS and AACOMAS are simply different.
